Pioneering champagne throughout history
The House of Laurent-Perrier was first founded in 1812, becoming internationally recognised as a market leader and innovator. The brand’s traditional values have since been combined with a deep respect for nature (sustainable grape-growing has long been a part of the house’s ethics), a commitment to quality and lasting industry relationships. In 1968 the first Cuvée rosé was released by Laurent-Perrier, cementing its distinctive and stellar reputation.
The perfect table centrepiece
The re-usable bottle is wrapped in a charming butterfly motif and comes in an on-trend rose gold colour, echoing the liquid’s own pink hue. Cold maceration is used to extract this colour and flavour from grape skins, harnessing the red fruit aromas. Enchanting, graceful and elegant, it serves as a beautiful gift or a statement for your table – particularly where a rose gold theme is present.
Caring for the environment
Serving as an emblem of a preserved, protected, vibrant and varied eco-system, the butterfly is an integral part of the design. It’s a reminder of Laurent-Perrier commitment to sustainability – minimising production waste, reducing pollution, and promoting the regeneration of soil nutrients through the sowing of floral fallow plants. The brand has also partnered as Corporate Patron of Plantlife, a British wild plant charity, with further plans later in 2021 to support their conservation work.
Preserving the eco-system
Daniel Brennan, Director of PR & Communications at Champagne Laurent-Perrier says of the new product: “As growers and producers of fine Champagne wines, we at Laurent-Perrier strive to ensure that all our actions show a continual respect for the environment and natural resources. That’s why our new limited-edition robe is so important this year in truly reflecting our dedication in preserving the eco-system, a cause we continue to look at in terms of a balanced use of terroirs and soils, careful management of resources and a reduction of waste at source.”
The champagne pairs well with seafood and light desserts, but is equally delightfully imbibed by itself, or as part of a special celebration. Exclusive to Selfridges, the limited-edition Cuvée Rosé Butterfly Robe is available to purchase online or in-store.
