Pretty Pair Of French Antique French Ormolu Bronze Drapery Tieback Hooks Hardware - These could also be used for Coat or Robe Hooks.
The following is a set of instructions from my business associate in France that may be useful for you to mount these French tiebacks - "The old ornate drapery hooks have a primitive method of fixing. The small horizontal bar on the back of the plate hooks over a small 'L'-shaped screw hook. If there is a hole as well it is to take a nail which goes into the plaster or wood paneling for extra security; often there is no hole for the nail. More recent drapery hooks have the conventional screw fixing.
