I don’t know about you, but I find that the men in my life are often the hardest to shop for. Most of the dads I know are the type that will go out and buy the things they want (unless it’s outrageously expensive and out of my budget anyways), so it can be tricky to know how to spoil them when Father’s Day rolls around.

It always takes me a little extra time and effort to figure out what I want to do for Father’s Day for Corey and my dad. This year, things are a little different – my parents will be out of town on Father’s Day weekend and it was the only weekend that worked for my friends for us to do our semi-annual girl’s trip. So, all of our husbands graciously agreed to celebrate Father’s Day a little early. Since Corey is a realtor and works most weekends anyways, we’ll be celebrating him mid-week. All that to say – Father’s Day looks a little different this year and I’m working extra hard to make sure that the two dads who mean a lot to me feel celebrated and loved despite the schedule changes.
I’ve been doing a lot of browsing lately for him and my dad, so I put together a little roundup for you!
Father’s Day Gift Ideas
- Dad Baseball Cap – Because every dad I know loves a good baseball cap, and I know my husband isn’t the only one who’ll proudly wear just about anything that proclaims he’s a dad. I love this Papa Bear one, too!
- Handheld Massage Gun – It’s super affordable, works great (we have one!), and he can spend all weekend making the kids give him massages.
- Hey Dude Slip-On Shoes – Because dad loves comfy shoes and 81,000 reviewers can’t be lying. Plus, they’re way more stylish than Crocs.
- Popsicle Button Down – Corey never turns down a quirky button down. He wears short-sleeve button downs almost daily for work, and he loves to show some personality with them.
- Cell Phone Stand & Bluetooth Speaker – Perfect for the dad who loves to have a show (or TikTok) going on his phone while he works on his laptop. Or while he grills dinner, or whatever.
- The Office LEGO Set – Because dads still love LEGO building, too, and he’ll be thrilled to have a replica of The Office set to put on his nightstand or proudly on a shelf in the middle of your house.
- Contour Gage Tool – Basically any DIYer could use one of these. It’s perfect for unique or challenging cuts and it’s been on my “need to buy” list for a long time!
- Portable AM/FM Bluetooth Radio – Because most of the dads I know are always looking for new ways to play their favorite music. Corey never turns down a new bluetooth speaker, and this one is so stylish I wouldn’t mind it if he left it laying around.
- Top Dad Socks – Dads and quirky socks go together like peanut butter and jelly.
- Movie Screening Kit – Corey is always talking about setting up a screen in the backyard for movie nights and we just haven’t yet. You’ll have to buy a projector separately (I’m eyeing this one), but it’s the perfect gift that can then turn into the perfect Father’s Day evening activity.
- Back Massage Seat Cushion – Plop it in his favorite chair in the house, turn on a good movie or documentary, and tell him to close his eyes for a nice little nap. It’ll be the best Father’s Day gift ever.
- You’re the Best Trinket Dish – The perfect small gift to remind him that he’s loved and appreciated every time he takes off his watch or his ring.
- LED Flame Bluetooth Speaker – Yes, another speaker. Listen, I promise he can’t have too many. This one doubles as a little torch-style light, so it’s perfect to bring to an evening beach trip or even camping!
- Lawn Bowling Set – Perfect for an afternoon for the kids or for a grilling day with his friends! It’s something different than the standard Cornhole game and is sure to be exciting for everyone.
- Extendable Magnetic Flashlight – Someone got this for all the dudes in our family one Christmas and everyone was so excited. They’re so handy to have around the house!
- A stylish wood frame + a picture of him with the kids – Because, that’s really all he wants anyways.
Other Ideas
Need some other thoughts for how to make dad feel special? Here are a few other things you can do to make dad feel special.
- Plan a day just for him. We like to take Corey to the movies, play some board games, and do his favorite takeout for dinner. It’s simple and it’s focused completely on him and the things he loves. Click here for some family board game ideas!
- Make a video. I make one each year interviewing the kids about Corey, and with a few pictures of them together from the year. It’s so special to look back on and I always get so excited to share it with him.
- A Chatbooks Subscription is perfect for grandpa! We gave one to my mom for Mother’s Day, and they were both so excited. A digital picture frame is also always a win – my mom got this one from my sister.
- Have the kids make a coupon book. Include all the things he loves to do with them, plus a few “get out of X chore free” coupons. It’s sweet, free, and the kids will love coming up with ideas.
- Write a sweet note. In the end, most dads I know are just like us moms – they just want to be appreciated. Giving him a day of rest or some special gifts is great, but so is taking the time to find a cute card and writing a really special note inside. It’s sure to make him feel loved and I bet he’ll save it to re-read over and over.
