The independent board games company, Big Potato, has launched a new initiative to help its UK customers recycle their old board games called The Great Board Game Trade In.
The campaign, kicking off on Monday, July 5th, will reward customers who bring in any old board games they have gathering dust to participating stores with a 20 per cent off a new Big Potato game. Their old games will then be recycled and donated to a local charity of community group.
The initiative is being led by Big Potato’s independent store account managers, Laura Crumbley and Hannah Cornish.
“We wanted to do something to support our fantastic independent stores, who’ve been forced to shut up shop for the best part of a year,” said the pair. “With the Great Board Game Trade-In, we can help drive footfall to the store, whilst giving board games to organisations that really need them. What’s not to love?”
The scheme launches on Monday, July 5th 2021 and will run until the end of August.
Over 60 independent retail stores are taking part in the scheme, with more expected to join. Retailers interested in getting involved with the Great Board Game Trade In can do so by getting in touch with Laura or Hannah, depending on location in the UK.
