The latest pop culture board game from Endless Games is Hip Town, a fun – and very funny – take on hipster culture.
Suitable for trendsetters ages 13+, Hip Town sees players compete to create the trendiest neighborhood in Hip Town, where it takes style, street smarts and a sense of humour to beat fellow developers. You start with a blank canvas, then fill your streetscape with niche businesses of your choice, from craft pickleries to modern speakeasies. There are options to create a culinary empire, a nightlife epicentre, or something else entirely, marked with your own brand of wit and wisdom. The game features over 100 unique businesses and a wide variety of game-changing “reality” cards, so you’ll never play the same game twice.
Endless Games was founded in 1996 by industry veterans Mike Gasser, Kevin McNulty and game inventor Brian Turtle. The three share a knack for discovering and developing new games, having played a part in past successes Trivial Pursuit, Pictionary and Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon. The company’s mission is “to produce high quality entertainment in board games that are quick and easy to learn but offer ‘Endless’ play value.”
Hitting stores in time for Christmas, Hip Town is priced at $19.99 US.
