This is the first expansion to the beautiful and super-popular Wingspan Game and introduces European birds to the game!
In Wingspan, you play as bird enthusiasts that will seek to discover and attract the best birds to your network of wildlife preserves. Each bird extends a chain of powerful combinations in one of your habitats. This expansion adds on 81 bird cards with a variety of new abilities, an additional tray for sorting, 15 purple eggs, extra food tokens, and a colorful new scorepad.
In addition, Amazon also has the Wingspan Oceania Expansion for $23.36 (regularly $30)! As an alternative, it’s available on Target.com for the same price.
This 2nd expansion features the colorful and awe-inspiring birds of Oceania. This expansion includes new player mats and a new food type, allowing players to explore different strategies in this new environment. It also includes new bonus cards and more end-of-round goals, as well as a new color of eggs.

We have played a lot of board games and this by far is our favorite!!! Huge fan of the core set, so getting the expansion was no question. Happy with the additional components and new card powers. If you believe the cards the additional cardholder will allow you to hold all cards (then variant play 6 up instead of 3). Amazing quality, artwork, and love the gameplay. Easy to set up and after one play through the game is easy to get into. Good mix of strategy and luck with great combos. As nature lovers, the theme is an added plus! It also works very well into the gameplay. Relaxing, fun, and challenging all at the same time. Lots of replayability and after multiple plays each session feels different. So much variety with the goals, objectives, and cards that come up in the shuffle. Can’t wait for more expansions/content for this game! Also, enjoy the solo player variation!
